Calling all pilots! Out of the Box is proud to announce their 2023 X-wing Store Championship!
Players of all experience levels are welcome.
When: Saturday, November 25th, 10:00am
Where: Out of the Box, 50-1826 Robertson Road, Ottawa
Entry: $10
The tournament will be a 4 round event and is capped at a maximum of 16 attendees, so buy your ticket before they are gone at [insert link to OOTB ticket]
All pilots must also register on the tournament software site Longshanks: https://www.longshanks.org/event/11467/
All lists to be submitted online by Friday 24 November.
Prizes:
If we have 16 players then first place will receive a ticket to the 2024 X-wing world championship. The tournament kit also includes alt art cards and other items that will be handed out as prizes for other players as well along with some older kits, store credits, and other prizes we have accumulated over the year.
Format:
We will be using the current scenarios, rules reference and errata published by AMG. See link below

20 Point Standard list build, 75 minute round time limit, 12 turns max, play stops when win conditions are met.
A different scenario will be played each round determined randomly. All players will do the same scenario for that round.
Each player must bring all materials necessary for play. In addition to all cards, models, tokens, templates and rulers as usual, each player must also bring the tokens necessary for the scenario that can be found in the scenario document. Reasonable substitute scenario tokens of the same exact same size and alternate means of visually counting score and game rounds permitted.
List print outs such as YASB or infinite arena are acceptable but actual game cards will be required for prizing of the championship invite. (edited)

All sales are final for TCG Singles. We also cannot return cards once buylists have been finalized as they will have been sorted and we would no longer be able to distinguish which one is yours.

Damages and issues

Out Grading Guide
'Near Mint (NM)'
Near Mint condition cards show minimal or no wear from play or handling and will have an unmarked surface, crisp corners, and otherwise pristine edges outside of minimal handling. Near Mint condition cards appear 'fresh out of the pack,' with edges and surfaces virtually free from all flaws. '

'Lightly Played (LP)'
Lightly Played condition cards can have slight border or corner wear, or possibly minor scratches. No major defects are present, and there are less than 4 total flaws on the card. Lightly Played condition foils may have slight fading or indications of wear on the card face. '
'
'Moderately Played (MP)'
Moderately Played condition cards have moderate wear, or flaws apparent to the naked eye. Moderately Played condition cards can show moderate border wear, mild corner wear, water damage, scratches , creases or fading, light dirt buildup, or any combination of these defects. '
'
'Heavily Played (HP)'
Heavily Played condition cards exhibit signs of heavy wear. Heavily Played condition cards may include cards that have significant creasing, folding, severe water damage, heavy whitening, heavy border wear, and /or tearing. '

'Damaged (D)'
Damaged condition cards show obvious tears, bends, or creases that could make the card illegal for tournament play, even when sleeved. Damaged condition cards have massive border wear, possible writing or major inking (ex. white-bordered cards with black-markered front borders), massive corner wear, prevalent scratching, folds, creases or tears. '
